This 2023 Pinot Noir is light and juicy, bursting with bright cherry, wild strawberry, and a touch of earthiness, with no oak for a fresh, easy-drinking style.
The nose is quite pretty with bright cherry, red raspberry, sandalwood and an earthy hint. The palate jumps with notes of wild strawberry, cherry, and savoury notes of beetroot. Lush and juicy: an easy-drinking, gulpable wine with abundant intense flavours and complexities.
2023 growing season was generally cooler until a late summer heat spike accelerated ripening. We sourced some beautiful Pinot noir fruit from the Queenston road site and vinified it quickly, getting the wine off skins early to minimize tannins for an early-drinking style. No oak contact! The resulting wine is lighter-bodied and fruity, with a hint of earthiness and freshness. Serve slightly chilled in the summer months for a refreshing twist.
